2 - Strangetown

Part Two

Strangetown

Kalinda Odd. Graduated Summa Cum Laude at La Fiesta Tech while studying History. Aries. Family oriented with a keen interest in self-improvement. Master of cutting shapes and shredding on her electric guitar in an almost hilariously all-business way.

Her lifetime goal is to have 6 grandchildren.

Morgan Kenny. Graduate of La Fiesta Tech. Pisces. Pursuing knowledge first and foremost, although may find something else to obsess over soon. Hopelessly in love with Kalinda, who considers him her best friend.

His lifetime goal is to master 7 skills.

Despite Kalinda's lack of romance (but abundance of attraction) the two decided to marry after all. They eloped in Kalinda's meager little shack, and immediately used the extra $4000 and some of the instruments that were stored in Kalinda's inventory to expand the house a little, and make everything a little nicer.

The house was small, but functional. Kalinda took up a job in the Music industry, while Morgan decided to wait and see what might be listed tomorrow. They could at least entertain guests for the time being.

While not exactly getting along with everyone who came to welcome the family to the neighborhood, they were at least able to entertain Pollination Technician #9 with the family band.

Life went pretty smoothly for the two in those first days. Kalinda got up early and made sure she was as ready as possible for work. Morgan worked on his musical skills during the day, and kept things tidy. Then, in the evening they would spend the evening together as husband and wife before going to sleep.

Despite the very frequent and regular copulation, they were unable to conceive.

In a single day, everything looked up for the young family. Morgan finally mastered the creative arts, bringing him out of a deep depression he'd been suffering from since moving in. Kalinda got promoted to a Battle of The Bands Judge, her 4th subsequent promotion since beginning her career. Already she was midway to one of her dreams.

And, with all of the loveliness of that day, when the two got together in the evening, Kalinda found that she finally loved Morgan back. It had just taken some time, and now her best friend really was her soulmate.

Little did she know, this love was not the only thing that had been created that night.

Kalinda and Morgan would soon be welcoming their first children to the world very soon.

A local mystic woman dumped some of her junk on the lawn. Weirdly enough, when Kalinda decided to try and clean it up, a strange purple man appeared before her offering her three wishes.

She wished for the power to cheat death, peace of mind, and wealth to help prepare the house for her imminent bundle of joy. The strange man of the lamp obliged. The next time she looked, the lamp was gone.

Coincidentally, the woman who sold the family their property happened to be walking by. Morgan invited her in.

Bella Goth became a family friend fairly quickly. Although when Kalinda asked her how the real estate business was treating her, she just talked about burying gold.

Morgan decided to get a career as a Psychic Phone Pal in order to help support his growing family. Moments after he left for his first shift, Kalinda goes into labour. Despite going it alone, she manages.

The Odd Legacy welcomes Bellamy and Chartreuse to the family.

Another bundle of joy is on it's way by the time the two parents are asleep that morning.
